Forbidden Fruit | 2018
A series showcasing and advocating for women empowerment & liberation. Liberation to be themselves, to feel free in their sensuality, and to express their desires in a safe space. Fruit is often compared to the female anatomy. I wanted to use different fruits for each model apart of this concept. Some of the pictures are silly, others are sexy. It’s to show that when expressing yourself in your womanhood; you can be anything you want to be. Being a woman is a beautiful concept in itself but in this society the over sexualization of women, or on the opposite side the ridicule of women is a hard ship to navigate. Creating art, being art is sometimes the best way to show your empowerment, pain, and journey.
